Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers to common queries regarding Cab to Car Conversion taxation.

It is the balance one-time tax payable when a vehicle originally registered as a Motor Cab (Transport) is converted into a Motor Car (Non-Transport/Private) vehicle.

The age of the vehicle is computed in completed years from the date of its original registration (purchase date) to the date of conversion.

The depreciation percentage represents the remaining value ratio of the vehicle. It is calculated dynamically matching the RMA age logic: (15 - completed_years) / 15.

The remaining tax credit is the original 15-year tax paid as a cab minus the tax consumed during the months the vehicle was operated as a cab (calculated as: 15-year cab tax × months used / 180).
